RS RS RESEARCHWhat your customers search for, and whether your site answers

What we check

What the research has found so far

Every figure below is read from research on file as this page loads. Where we have not done the work, the section is not here at all rather than filled with an estimate.

What people search for

See the market before you spend on it.

Which industries are people actually typing into a search box? We use public search figures to find where the demand already is, rather than where it is assumed to be.

Perth WA — sample study

Restaurants 餐厅 33,100
Moving & Storage 搬家仓储 11,000
Car Rental 租车 9,900
Lawyers 律师 8,960
Hair & Beauty 美发美容 8,460
Massage & Day Spa 按摩SPA 8,100
Digital Marketing 数字营销 7,360
Cafes & Bakeries 咖啡烘焙 6,600
Financial & Mortgage 金融房贷 6,180
Wedding Venues 婚礼场地 5,540
These are estimated searches a month, not people. One person can search five times, and figures from different sources count different things — so they cannot be added together. A further 10 industries were studied but had no comparable public figure; that is recorded as a blank with its reason, never as a zero.

Search figures as published by digitalnomadshq.com.au. We record where every number we hold came from.

What competitors do

Don't just find your competitors. See why people pick them.

We look at the businesses that show up first in an industry and write down what their websites actually do.

What we look at

  • Search visibility
  • Brand authority
  • UI quality — the first impression
  • UX quality — whether a visitor can finish the task
  • Content structure
  • Trust signals
  • Conversion pathways
  • How well the site answers

What a place on this list means — and what it does not

The list is based on what anyone can see: who comes up when you search for this industry, or for someone ready to buy nearby. It is not a claim to have seen any company’s private figures.

We cannot see a competitor’s visitor numbers, and we do not pretend to. What we can show you, we show you; what we cannot, we say so.

Being found online

When someone asks Google — or an AI assistant — does your business come up?

People used to browse. Now they ask: they type a question into Google, or put it to an AI assistant, and take the answer they are given. We read a website the way those answers are put together, and check whether it says plainly what the business does, where it works, what it costs, why it can be trusted, and how to get in touch.

The RS Research website score

Five things, each marked 0, 1 or 2. Ten at best.

Direct answers

Does the site answer the questions people actually search?

Service and location clarity

Does each service and location have a page of its own?

Trust evidence

Are there real people, credentials and reviews a reader can check?

Booking and conversion

Can a visitor act without friction — and can a machine follow the same path?

Ongoing useful content

Is useful content published and dated on a pattern?

What this looks at, and what it does not. A person reads the site and marks what is written on it. This is not a technical check: we do not look at the code behind the page, how quickly it loads, or whether an AI assistant has actually quoted it anywhere.

What is riding on it

We will not tell you what you will save.

Any saving we printed here would be an average of businesses that are not yours, and an average is not a forecast. What we can show is the arithmetic. Every number below is yours to set — the only figure that comes from us is what a brief costs.

Illustration — replace with your own figures.

Inventory, production, deposits, launch advertising, the staff months — what you cannot get back if it does not work.
Your figure, not ours. We have no basis for guessing it and will not print one.
Committed to decisions of this kind each year RM 400,000
Of that, the share that went into ones that did not work out RM 120,000 At the rate you entered. Money that went into them, not money written off — an underperforming launch is rarely a total loss.

Our fee is quoted per engagement rather than listed. Tell us the decision and we will quote against what it commits.

What research changes is when you find out. A price revised before the print run. A launch narrowed to the one buyer who was always going to say yes. A departure cut before the deposit went out. Each is the same decision, taken before the money left rather than after — which is not the same as removing the risk, and we will not pretend it is. The figure above is a bar, not a promise; hold us to it with results that carry a name and a date, because those are the only kind we publish.
